About
The MCC Adventure Club aims to foster a spirit of exploration, teamwork, and self-confidence through outdoor and adventure activities. It seeks to promote physical fitness, environmental awareness, and leadership qualities among members. Its objectives include organizing treks, camps, rock climbing, and other adventure sports, ensuring safety and discipline. It also aims to instil a sense of responsibility, resilience, and cooperation. Overall, the Adventure Club provides a platform for holistic growth through experiential learning beyond the classroom environment.
Objectives:
• To encourage students to explore nature, develop survival skills, and build leadership, cooperation, and resilience.
• To instill environmental responsibility and a spirit of adventure through activities including trekking, hiking, camping, cycling, rock climbing, and nature exploration.
Membership:
Membership is open to all bonafide students of the college with an interest in outdoor activities and adventure sports. Interested students must register themselves on Club Registration Day/Membership Drive Day, held at the beginning of new academic session. Membership is renewable annually, subject to active participation. Member must follow safety guidelines, and obtain necessary parental/guardian consent for off-campus activities.
Structure:
The Club shall be coordinated by a faculty member composed of a Co-Ordinator, Treasurer, and two or more other faculty, and governed by an Office Bearers (OB) consisting of a Leader, Assistant Leader, Secretary, and Assistant Secretary, elected or appointed annually among the club members.
Functions:
1. Organize regular adventure activities and expeditions.
2. Conduct training sessions on safety, first aid, and outdoor survival skills.
3. Collaborate with external adventure and environmental organizations.
4. Promote eco-friendly and sustainable adventure practices.
5. Represent the college in inter-institutional adventure events.
All members must adhere to safety protocols, maintain discipline, and respect the environment. The policy will be reviewed annually for improvements.

Activities
Trekking cum Cleanliness Drive
As part of the second ‘Adventure Club Day’, the club, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, MCC, conducted a ‘Trekking cum Cleanliness Drive’ at Reiek Tlang on the 11th October, 2024. This event aimed to promote environmental awareness and cleanliness as well as to encourage physical activities and team building through trekking.
As part of the second ‘Adventure Club Day’, the club, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, MCC, conducted a ‘Trekking cum Cleanliness Drive’ at Reiek Tlang on the 11th October, 2024. This event aimed to promote environmental awareness and cleanliness as well as to encourage physical activities and team building through trekking.
Basic Adventure Course
To kickstart the session, the club successfully organised ‘Adventure Club Day’ on the 23rd August, 2024 at the College Main Campus. This event was divided into two sessions where the first session featured a lecture on “Basic Adventure Course” delivered by Mr. P.C. Lalngaihzuala, Assistant Professor, Mizoram Christian College. The second session was a hands-on Rappelling and Jamaring Training under the guidance of the Youth Adventure Club, Govt. Aizawl College. In addition to this, the club also organised fundraising programme through various activities like target shooting and dart throwing.
