About
The MCC Agripreneur Club aims to promote agricultural innovation, entrepreneurship skill, and sustainable farming practices among students. It will serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, and skill development in agri-business and agri-tech. The club will organize workshops, field visits, and seminars to expose students to modern agricultural trends and entrepreneurial opportunities. It shall collaborate with agricultural experts, local farmers, and industry stakeholders to foster real-world learning and innovation. The club also encourages start-up ideas in agriculture and supports incubation and funding opportunities.
Objectives:
• To foster awareness of agri-preneurship and its socio-economic potential.
• To equip students with skills in agri-business planning, rural innovation, and sustainable farming practices.
• To create linkages with local farmers, agri-startups, and government bodies for experiential learning.
Membership:
Membership is open to all bonafide students of the college with an interest in agriculture, agribusiness, or entrepreneurship. Interested students must register themselves on Club Registration Day/Membership Drive Day, held at the beginning of new academic session. Membership is renewable annually, subject to active participation.
Structure:
The Club shall be coordinated by a faculty member composed of a Co-Ordinator, Treasurer, and two or more other faculty, and governed by an Office Bearers (OB) consisting of a Leader, Assistant Leader, Secretary, and Assistant Secretary, elected or appointed annually among the club members.
Functions:
1. Organize guest lectures, workshops, and field visits to expose members to agricultural innovations.
2. Facilitate startup incubation, mentorship programs, and business plan competitions.
3. Coordinate with local farmers and agri-business experts for experiential learning.
4. Disseminate information on government schemes and funding opportunities in agriculture.
5. Encourage research, internships, and networking to support members’ career aspirations.
This policy shall be reviewed whenever required to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Training Session on Work Methods Held at Lengpui Chawng Composite Farm
On the 11th-12th on October 2024 , under the leadership of Club Coordinator Dr. Lalthansanga C., a gathering and training session on work methods for laborers was held at Lengpui Chawng Composite Farm. The event was also used as an opportunity to strengthen the bond among members, making it an enjoyable and productive time.

Extraction and Sell Fresh Lemon Juice
Under the leadership of Agripreneur Club Coordinator Dr. Lalthansanga C, on August 24, 2024 at Sairang, we bought lemons. With high enthusiasm and joy, the club members extracted the juice, and the extracted juice was successfully sold. The members greatly enjoyed the experience.

On the 11th-12th of October, through MSLRM, we were provided with excellent training on “Study on Government Scheme for Rural Livelihood.” As club members, we greatly benefited from it and found it very valuable.
