Report on Field Visit to Thiak by Agripreneur Club, MCC

The Agripreneur Club, Mizoram Christian College (MCC), conducted a field visit to Thiak village to observe Club Day on 3rd September, 2026. A total of 53 students along with 4 teachers participated in the visit.

At Thiak, the team received a warm reception from Mr. Hmangaihramnunzira (Pu Mapuia), President of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), Thiak. A short gathering was held at the YMA Zawlbuk, where Pu Mapuia delivered an insightful speech. He highlighted the challenges faced by farmers in marketing their agricultural produce and challenged the students to contribute towards improving marketing linkages and to become successful agri-entrepreneurs in the future.

Following the interaction, the team visited the Mizo Lo (traditional farm) and observed the cultivation practices of various crops, including ginger.

The visit concluded with a recreational trip to Hmuifang Tlang, where the members enjoyed the serene natural environment and scenic beauty.
