Mizoram Christian College Art and Music Club band participated in the Mizo Song Composers Society (MSCS) "Laisuih Hla Inphuahsiak" held at Ignite Studio, Khatla. The competition saw various composers' submission of more than 400 songs, and the top 10 songs of these submissions were performed by various colleges over the course of 3 nights. (1st - 3rd Oct). The two selected songs of MCC both received the consolation prizes, and our band received the participation prize along with other colleges. A huge congratulations to Art and Music club band for their hard work and performance.

ONE DAY RETREAT

Mizoram Christian College, One- Day Retreat was held on 1st October, 2026 at Mission Vengthlang Kohhran Golden Jubilee Hall. The retreat was jointly organized by Mizoram Christian College and the Synod Campus Ministry.

The programme comprised two sessions. In the first session, Rev. Dr. H. Lalnunmawia, Faculty, Aizawl Theological College (ATC), acted as resource person & delivered a sermon. In the second session, Rev. Johny Lalremfela delivered a sermon which was followed by a closing remark by the Principal of MCC, Dr Tawnenga.

The retreat was spiritually enriching and joyous. It was graced by an uplifting praise and worship session, which fostered spiritual reflection and fellowship among the attendees.

MCC formally launched its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System on 28 September 2026, pursuant to an initiative undertaken by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The programme marked an important step towards strengthening the digital administration and academic management of the institution.

The Principal Dr. Tawnenga formally launched the ERP system and delivered an address highlighting the importance of adopting digital technologies to improve efficiency, transparency and institutional management. The Principal also expressed appreciation to IQAC, the developers and all those involved in the planning and implementation of the system and encouraged the Faculty, staff and students to make effective use of the new platform.

The programme also featured an address by Mr. Freddie Lalawmpuia, CEO of Hearus, on behalf of the development team, who shared the ERP journey and expressed gratitude to God and MCC for their support and collaboration.

The launch marks a significant milestone in MCC's continued commitment towards digital transformation, quality enhancement and institutional excellence.

On September 25 and 26, 2026, the Mizo Department’s fifth-semester students and teachers visited Sialsuk Hill and the local village for a field project and an off-campus class.

For their field project, the students investigated Sialsuk village's history, interviewed villagers, and studied the contributions of prominent literary figures, including Lalṭanpuia, Vankhama, and James Dokhuma. During an evening session on Sialsuk Hill, the class explored Mizo astronomy, environmental conservation, and patriotism. On the morning of September 26, the group organized a cleanliness initiative, clearing plastic waste and debris from the area.

The Department of Sociology, Mizoram Christian College, organised an Off-Campus Class at important Synod premises, including the Synod Office, Prescom (Synod Press), Banglapui, and the Synod Resource Centre on 25th September 2026. The programme was organised to familiarise students with the functioning and organisational structure of the Synod.

During the first session, students visited the Synod Office, where representatives from different departments explained their respective functions and activities. The students also visited Prescom (Synod Press) to gain an understanding of its printing and publication activities. At Banglapui, the Head of the Department, Mr Vanlalpeka, delivered a brief lecture on its history and significance.

During the second session, students visited the Synod Resource Centre, where Mr Lallungmuana, former Head of the Department of Sociology, Pachhunga University College, and a member of the Mizoram Synod Zirlai Viltu Committee, explained its functioning and activities. He also delivered a motivational speech to the students. A total of 50 students participated in the programme.
