Graduation Day 2026
On 17 April 2026, Mizoram Christian College (MCC) observed its 4th Graduation Day with a formal ceremony celebrating the achievements of its outgoing students.
The programme started with an invocation by Lalramsangi, Office Assistant. The Principal, Dr. Tawnenga, addressed the students, emphasizing the vital role of Mizo cultural values. He specifically stressed the importance of “tlawmngaihna” for becoming responsible citizens.
The function was conducted by Mr. Lallawmkima and Ms. Lalremruati Ngente, the faculty members. The ceremony featured a variety of special numbers:
Vocal performances were presented by MCC students Lalhriatpuia Renthlei and HC Lalmuansanga. A guest performance was delivered by the Octave Mizo Choir, a renowned local vocal ensemble.
To bid farewell to the outgoing batch, the college faculty members collectively performed a farewell song dedicated to the graduating batch.
The official function was followed by a community dinner, providing an opportunity for students and faculty to celebrate the milestone together.

MCC @ The 29th International Day of Action for Rivers organised by Irrigation & Water Resources Department
14.03.2026: MCC participated in the 29th International Day of Action for Rivers Painting and Poetry Writing Competitions organised by the Irrigation & Water Resources Department (IWRD), Govt. of Mizoram, with Hon’ble Minister Pu PC Vanlalruata presiding over the programme.
The College extends its heartfelt congratulations to Vanlalawmpuia member of the MCC Literature Club, for securing 3rd Prize in the Poetry Writing Competition, and to R. Lalfakzuala, member of the MCC Art & Music Club, for receiving a Consolation Prize in the Painting Competition. Both participants were awarded certificates and cash prizes in recognition of their achievements.

Department of Management CCA: Industrial Visit to Lengpui
On 12th March 2026, the Department of Management organised a two-part curricular programme consisting of an Industrial Visit followed by a Departmental recreational session, both conducted at Lengpui. The programme was designed to provide students with practical industry exposure while also promoting interaction, teamwork, and engagement beyond formal classroom setting.
The first session involved an industrial visit to Lusei Tissue, Lengpui, where the owner-entrepreneurs, Mr. Matthew Lalremsanga and Mr. Reuben Saidingliana, delivered an informative presentation on the establishment, business model, and operations of their enterprise. Students were also given a guided tour of the factory and a demonstration of the machinery used in the tissue manufacturing process, enabling them to gain first-hand insight into industrial production. The entrepreneurs further encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and explore future business opportunities.
The second session consisted of a departmental recreational programme aimed at fostering team-building, unity, and social interaction among participants. The session created a valuable opportunity for BBA students from different semesters to interact with one another, thereby strengthening interpersonal relationships and promoting a sense of community, cooperation, and teamwork.
Overall, the initiative served as a meaningful blend of academic exposure and recreational engagement, making the day both productive and enjoyable for the participants. The activities contributed to experiential learning and enabled students to gain knowledge and perspectives that extend beyond the conventional classroom environment.

Department of Commerce Special Lecture - Cooperative Awareness Campaign
11.03.2026: A Cooperative Awareness Campaign was organized by the Mizoram State Cooperative Union under the Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mizoram in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Mizoram Christian College. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the role and importance of cooperative societies.
The campaign was conducted in the presence of the Deputy Registrar, Mr. K. Lalruatfela. During the programme, students were introduced to the aims and objectives of cooperative societies as well as the development and presence of cooperative societies in India.
The session also provided practical guidance on how to register a cooperative society and the procedures involved in starting one. The presentation for the awareness campaign was delivered by Ms. Baby Hmingthansangi, who clearly explained the concepts and processes related to cooperative societies.
The programme was highly informative and engaging for the students. It proved to be a wonderful, productive, and knowledgeable session, helping students gain a better understanding of cooperative movements and their potential role in economic and community development.

Department of Management Off-Campus Class at MZU
The Department of Management facilitated an off-campus educational program for fourth-semester students implemented through a collaborative partnership with the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Mizoram University on 11th March 2026.
Participating students engaged in specialized academic sessions conducted at the Mizoram University campus.
Beyond conventional theoretical session, students were given the opportunity to examine career trajectories and higher studies within the tourism and hospitality industry. The initiative culminated in productive interactive session and knowledge exchange between both academic units.
