Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP)
The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell (EKC) initiated its activities for the Academic Session 2025-26 by organizing an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) among its Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) 1st Semester students and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) students on 16th July, 2025 (Friday). The programme was conducted in three sessions (two parallel sessions in the morning and one session in the afternoon), by engaging three Resource Persons – Dr. KC Malsawmtluangi (EKC Coordinator), Dr. Ramnunmawia Pachuau (EKC Asst. Coordinator) and Ms. Lalmuanpuii Varte (EKC Faculty Member).
Students were acquainted with the objectives, past initiatives, and future plans of the Cell, and were encouraged to actively participate in its activities during the upcoming academic session. Key concepts related to entrepreneurship/startups were introduced to generate interest and awareness among the participants. Ms. Lalmuanpuii Varte, who previously underwent a training programme at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, trained the female participants on Swavalambini – a women entrepreneurship programme specifically designed for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the North-East region. Under the supervision of the resource persons, all participants undertook the General Enterprising Tendency (GET) test to evaluate their entrepreneurial aptitude.

Mizo Department Off Campus Class: “Kut Hnathawh Inzirtir: Mautuai Khawrh”
The Department of Mizo organised an off-campus class titled "Kut Hnathawh Inzirtir: Mautuai Khawrh" on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The primary objective of this programme was to educate and inspire students to value manual labour by teaching them the traditional methods of harvesting or hunting bamboo shoots in the picturesque areas of Ailawng and Reiek. All faculty members accompanied the group, ensuring guidance and support throughout the activity. The program was both enjoyable and successful, providing students with hands-on experience and fostering greater appreciation for hard work and cultural traditions. Unfortunately, six out of the 29 students were unable to participate in this off-campus class due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the event garnered positive feedback and significantly enhanced the students' educational journey.
