Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP)
The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell (EKC) initiated its activities for the Academic Session 2025-26 by organizing an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) among its Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) 1st Semester students and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) students on 16th July, 2025 (Friday). The programme was conducted in three sessions (two parallel sessions in the morning and one session in the afternoon), by engaging three Resource Persons – Dr. KC Malsawmtluangi (EKC Coordinator), Dr. Ramnunmawia Pachuau (EKC Asst. Coordinator) and Ms. Lalmuanpuii Varte (EKC Faculty Member).
Students were acquainted with the objectives, past initiatives, and future plans of the Cell, and were encouraged to actively participate in its activities during the upcoming academic session. Key concepts related to entrepreneurship/startups were introduced to generate interest and awareness among the participants. Ms. Lalmuanpuii Varte, who previously underwent a training programme at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, trained the female participants on Swavalambini – a women entrepreneurship programme specifically designed for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the North-East region. Under the supervision of the resource persons, all participants undertook the General Enterprising Tendency (GET) test to evaluate their entrepreneurial aptitude.
