Department of English Off Campus Class

The Department of English, Mizoram Christian College, conducted an off-campus class on Popular Culture and Literature on 21st August 2026 at Deca Art House & Cafe, Mission Vengthlang.The class aimed to make literary learning more interactive, engaging, and connected to students’ everyday cultural experiences.

The session included ice-breaking activities, literary and film trivia, popular literature games, poetry reading, book reviews, student talks, music, and performances. Students also participated in presentations on MMA and K-pop, along with musical performances.

The class encouraged students to explore the relationship between literature, music, cinema, and popular culture while developing confidence, communication skills, creativity, and active participation.

Overall, the off-campus class was an enjoyable and enriching learning experience that successfully combined academic learning with creativity, entertainment, and experiential education.
