Department of Sociology Off-Campus Class at Synod Premises

The Department of Sociology, Mizoram Christian College, organised an Off-Campus Class at important Synod premises, including the Synod Office, Prescom (Synod Press), Banglapui, and the Synod Resource Centre on 25th September 2026. The programme was organised to familiarise students with the functioning and organisational structure of the Synod.

During the first session, students visited the Synod Office, where representatives from different departments explained their respective functions and activities. The students also visited Prescom (Synod Press) to gain an understanding of its printing and publication activities. At Banglapui, the Head of the Department, Mr Vanlalpeka, delivered a brief lecture on its history and significance.

During the second session, students visited the Synod Resource Centre, where Mr Lallungmuana, former Head of the Department of Sociology, Pachhunga University College, and a member of the Mizoram Synod Zirlai Viltu Committee, explained its functioning and activities. He also delivered a motivational speech to the students. A total of 50 students participated in the programme.
