A live radio discussion was broadcast on All India Radio, Aizawl, on 30th September, 2025; 7:00- 8:00 PM in observance of International Translation Day 2025. The panel featured Sir K.C. Lalthansanga, Dept. of Mizo, Coordinator, MCC Literature Club and Dr. Hannah Lalhlanpuii, Dept. of English.

The discussion focused on the role and challenges of translation within Mizo Literature and contemporary Mizoram. The talk also covered several critical areas related to the development and key milestones of translation efforts within the Mizo literary tradition. Participants also emphasized the crucial role of translation in facilitating both literary and cultural progress. The current state of English-Mizo and Mizo-English translation in contemporary Mizoram was also discussed, highlighting areas of success and significant gaps.

The live discussion was held as part of the activity of MCC Literature Club in observance of International Translation Day 2025.

Mizoram Christian College (MCC) won 1^st place in the LESDE UPSC Challenge Inter-College-Quiz Competition 2025 organized by Mizo Students’ Union (MSU) held on 27th September 2025. Representing MCC were Remsiamkima, 5^th Semester, Department of Management and  Rohmingliana Renthlei, 5^th Semester, Department of Political Science.

Spanning four competitive rounds held from 17^th to 27^th September 2025, with participants from 14 colleges, the team secured the championship by defeating strong contenders from Govt. Hrangbana College and Govt. Serchhip College in the grand finale. The team was awarded the championship trophy and certificates by the Hon’ble Tourism Minister, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar.

This back-to-back win follows MCC’s 1^st Place victory in the 11th National Handloom Day Quiz on 7^th August 2025 just a month earlier.

The Literature Club of Mizoram Christian College organized a Campus Book Fair in collaboration with The Book Cafe to mark International Literacy Day 2025 on 8^th–9^th September 2025. As part of the event, The Book Cafe set up a book stall on campus, while the Literature Club ran a food stall to raise funds. The Club earned a profit of ₹ 4,252 over the two days.

This was the first Campus Book Fair organized by the MCC Literature Club, and it formed part of the scheduled activities for the 2025–2026 academic session.

The Department of Mizo, Mizoram Christian College, observed International Translation Day on 26^th September 2025 at the College campus. Dr. Lalnunpuia Renthlei, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mizo, Pachhunga University College, served as the resource person. He is the first and only scholar to conduct research in translation studies among the Mizo.

Although International Translation Day is officially on 30^th September, the College had scheduled its 2^nd Internal Test on that date, and therefore, the event was preponed. Following the special lecture, faculty members and students engaged in a lively discussion and interaction with the resource person, making the programme both meaningful and engaging.

NATIONAL SEMINAR ON INVESTOR AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The Department of Commerce, Mizoram Christian College successfully conducted a National Seminar on ‘Investor Awareness Programme’ aimed at enhancing financial literacy and investment awareness among students. The programme was conducted in collaboration with SEBI and NSE.

The event featured Mr. Samuel Lalthanliana, Assistant Professor at Government Hrangbana College, who is also a certified trainer affiliated with SEBI, NSE, BSE, NISM, and NCFE, as the distinguished Resource Person.

The awareness programme was attended by 80 students from the first-semester and 2 faculty members, aligning with their academic curriculum and providing them with practical exposure to investment principles. Through the session, students gained valuable insights into various aspects of investment, including investor protection mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and the importance of informed financial decision-making.

The session emphasized the role of regulatory bodies in safeguarding investor interests and highlighted key strategies for responsible investing. The interactive nature of the session encouraged student engagement and fostered a deeper understanding of the subject matter beyond textbook learning.

Overall, the programme served as a vital platform for bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world financial practices, empowering students to become more informed and confident participants in the investment landscape.
