MCC Smart Classroom Initiative

Under the visionary leadership and continued support of the Principal, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Teaching Aids Management Cell (TAMC), has successfully completed a significant milestone in the institution’s journey towards digital transformation.

With the procurement and installation of the final two smartboards on 11^th September 2026, all classrooms of the institution have now been converted into smart classrooms, marking the successful completion of the institution-wide smart classroom initiative. The initiative also contributes to the institution’s broader objectives of digitalisation, e-governance and quality enhancement.

The achievement of 100% smart classroom coverage stands as a notable institutional milestone and reflects the institution’s continued pursuit of academic excellence, digital empowerment, and technology-enabled teaching and learning.

The MCC Art & Music Club organized a Club Day Fest on 3^rd September 2026. The event was organized with the objective of providing students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, artistic talents, musical abilities and spirit of participation.

The Fest featured a variety of engaging activities and attractions, including Food and Art Stalls, a Mini-Concert, Karaoke, Arm-Wrestling, a Haunted House, and a Shooting Range. The diverse range of activities provided entertainment for students while also encouraging active participation and interaction among club members and attendees. The Haunted House was one of the major attractions of the Fest and was conceptualized, designed, and built entirely from scratch by the club members. The members worked collectively to create the structure, decorations, ambience, and overall experience, demonstrating their creativity, talent, resourcefulness, teamwork, and dedication.

The Fest was well-attended by more than 200 students and members of the college community, reflecting the enthusiasm and interest generated by the event. Overall, the MCC Art & Music Club Day Fest 2026 was a successful and vibrant event that celebrated creativity, music, camaraderie and student participation.

Report on Field Visit to Thiak by Agripreneur Club, MCC

Date: 3rd September, 2026

The Agripreneur Club, Mizoram Christian College (MCC), conducted a field visit to Thiak village to observe Club Day on 3rd September, 2026. A total of 53 students along with 4 teachers participated in the visit.

At Thiak, the team received a warm reception from Mr. Hmangaihramnunzira (Pu Mapuia), President of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), Thiak. A short gathering was held at the YMA Zawlbuk, where Pu Mapuia delivered an insightful speech. He highlighted the challenges faced by farmers in marketing their agricultural produce and challenged the students to contribute towards improving marketing linkages and to become successful agri-entrepreneurs in the future.

Following the interaction, the team visited the Mizo Lo (traditional farm) and observed the cultivation practices of various crops, including ginger.

The visit concluded with a recreational trip to Hmuifang Tlang, where the members enjoyed the serene natural environment and scenic beauty.

MCC Literature Club -Movie Screening and Educational Outing

The MCC Literature Club organised a movie screening and educational outing at KT Resort, Selesih, as part of its literary enrichment activities.

* Film: The Odyssey (2026)

* Participants: 30 students and 5 faculty members

* Academic Relevance: Linked to the NEP Literature syllabus

* Objective: To provide students with a visual interpretation of a significant literary text and enhance their understanding of its themes, characters, and narrative elements.

* Outcome: The activity helped students connect classroom learning with cinema while promoting literary appreciation and discussion.

The programme was successfully conducted as a meaningful academic and recreational activity for Literature Club members.

The Youth Adventure Club, MCC organised a Two-Day Training Camp at Vaipuanpho on 3rd and 4th September 2026.

The students underwent training in various adventure activities, including rappelling, jumaring, and other outdoor activities, under certified trainers provided by the Sports & Youth Services, Government of Mizoram, gaining valuable hands-on experience in adventure training.

Mr. Moses Lalthanpuia, Adventure Promotion Officer, Sports & Youth Services, Government of Mizoram, also interacted with the students and introduced them to the Basic Adventure Course, the benefits of adventure sports, and essential survival skills.

The two-day camp offered valuable experiences in adventure, teamwork, and outdoor learning, while equipping participants with new skills and lasting memories.
